I started QueerQruises because I believe everyone deserves a vacation where they can fully be themselves, without wondering if they'll be welcome.
My Story
The first time I stepped onto a Virgin Voyages ship, I knew something was different. Adults-only, incredible food, drag shows on the schedule, and a crew that didn't just tolerate diversity but genuinely celebrated it. I'd never felt that on a cruise before. I was hooked.
So I became a certified First Mate (that's what VV calls their travel advisors) and partnered with FORA so I could turn that obsession into something useful: helping other people experience it for themselves.
Why I Do This
Booking a cruise can feel overwhelming. Which ship? Which itinerary? What's actually included? And as a queer traveler, there's always that extra question:
Will I actually feel comfortable?
I've sailed Virgin Voyages. I've seen the drag shows on the schedule, the gender-neutral restrooms, the crew that lights up when they see you being yourself. I've felt what it's like to be on a ship where you don't have to think about any of that. And I want that for you.
I also know which restaurants to book first, which shore excursions are actually worth it, and how to make sure you get the most out of every voyage. That's the job. But the reason I do it? That part is personal.
